Looking for Moms old recipe for "Sage Roast"?

When I was young..(58 now), my Mom made what she called a "SAGE ROAST". I remember it having a tomatoe-like gravy. Has anyone ever heard of this and maybe have the recipe. I have gone through her old recipes but I guess she knew this one by heart because I cant find it. Or maybe know some older person who cooks a lot and might have heard of this recipe.
